Invasion Description
1st Record: Woods Hole/MA/Vineyard Sound-Buzzards Bay (1882, USNM, 30161, U.S. National Museum of Natural History 2015; Holmes 1905); CT/LongIsladn Sound (Beerman et al. 2020);. Genetic analysis connecsuggests an origin of Jassa marmorata from the Northwest Atlanitc, includng specimens from Connecticut, clustering with specimesn from Europe, the West Coast, and Peru, although specimens from Virignia were highly divergent. (Beerman et al. 2020)
