Invasion Description

1st record: Miami/FL/Biscayne Bay (1969, Marcus 1972)

Cuthona perca has been regarded as native to the tropical Western Atlantic, but its present worldwide distribution makes that assumption questionable. Here we shall treat occurrences in Biscayne and Tampa Bay as definite introductions, but they could be regarded as cryptogenic.
