Padina durvillei

Padina durvillei is a brown seaweed, native to the Pacific Coast from Baja California to Peru. In 2016 a localized population was found adjacent to a public boat ramp in Marina del Rey, Santa Monica, California. This alga was probably transported by recreational boats. A published article suggested that eradication was possible, but we do not know the current status of this seaweed in California.
