Laurencia caduciramulosa is a small, epiphytic red alga, with a soft texture, up to 10 mm, forming greenish-brown tufts. The plant starts as a disk-like holdfast, giving rise to several axes, ending in clublike branchlets. It was described from Vietnam, and was also found in Malaysia and Indonesia. It has a wide, introduced rage, including the Canary Islands, Mediterranean France, Italy Greece, Brazil, and Cuba. In 2013, it was collected form the leaves of Turtlegrass.Thalassionema testudinum, in Biscayne Bay, Florida. This alga possesses antifouling compounds, which could affect competing species. However. impacts on the host plants have not been reported.
