Geographic Extent

New South Wales/Disaster Bay (Thresher et al. 2003); New South Wales/Twofold Bay (1971, Hutchings 1988; Thresher et al. 1998); Bermagui/New South Wales/Tasman Sea (1993, Ahyong 2005); Narooma/New South Wales/Tasman Sea (1996, Ahyong 2005); Durras/New South Wales/Lake Durras (1985, Ahyong 2005); Wales/Burrill Lake (1985, Ahyong 2005); New South Wales/Narrawalloo Inlet (1985, Ahyong 2005); New South Wales/Lake Conjola (1992, Ahyong 2005); Plantation Point/New South Wales/Jervis Bay (1997, Ahyong 2005); New South Wales/Botany Bay (1978, Ahyong 2005); New South Wales/Port Jackson (1891, Ahyong 2005).  Ahyong (2003), based on two early museum specimens, from 1891 and 1936, respectively, suggests that C. maenas was established but overlooked or misidentified in the Sydney area since the late 19th century.; New South Wales/10 of 14 coastal lakes, Durras Lake to Merimbula Lale (Garside et al. 2014, in lagoons open more than 30% of the year)
