1st Record? Alexandrian coast/Egypt/Mediterranean Sea (Broch 1935, the oldest cited by Koukouras and Matsa 1998) [Note- Southward (1998) disputes the introduced status of B. amphitrite in the Mediterranean, citing his identification of this barnacle in an excavation of a 2000 year-old Carthaginian naval base in Tunis.]
