1st Record? Izmir-Marmais/Turkey/Aegean Sea (Kocak and Kucuksezgin 1992) [Note- Southward (1998) disputes the introduced status of B. amphitrite in the Mediterranean, citing his identification of this barnacle in an excavation of a 2000 year-old Carthaginian naval base in Tunis.]
