LA/Atchafalaya River Basin at Bayou Little Sorrel about 3 miles east of its confluence with Sixmile Lake (USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2008); Establishment in the lower Atchafalaya Basin is seasonal with summer die-offs due to high temperature and low oxygen (Mihuc et al. 1999).
