Geographic Extent
Essex/England/River Crouch (Eno et al. 1997); 'Present along south and east coasts of England from Lyme Regis, Dorset, to the Humber. It is most common off the coast of Essex and the Thames estuary (River Medway) (Duval, 1963a; Bamber, 1985). Isolated records from north Wales and Cornwall' (MarLin 2007); Belgium/North Sea (Boets et al. 2016); Netherlands/North Sea (1905, Wolff 2005); Netherlands/Rhine Delta (Wolff 1973); Denmark/Wadden Sea (1905, Jensen and Knudsen 2005); Denmark/Limfjord (1926, Jensen and Knudsen 2005); Lonstrop/Denmark/Skaggerak (1912, Jensen and Knudsen 2005); Nieuwpoort/Belgium/North Sea (1899, Kerckhof et al. 2007); Germany/Elbe Estuary (poly-euhaline, Nehring 2006); Bensersiel/Germany/Wadden Sea (Buschbaum 2012; Rohde et al. 2017); Anglesey/Wales/Irish Sea (MarLin 2012, isolated record)
