Florence-Roebling, near Trenton/NJ/Crystal Lake, off Delaware River (8/2011, 4/8/2012, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2012); Burlington County/NJ/Delaware River, Dredge Harbor (2010, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2012); below Fairmount Dam, Philadelphia/PA/Schuylkill River (2008, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2008); lagoon near Route 420 in the John Heinz National Wildlife Refuge, Tinicum/PA/off Delaware River (9/23/2012), Edgewood Lake within FDR Park, Philadelphia/PA/adjacent to Delaware River (2004 ,USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2008); NJ-PA/both sides of the Delaware River, the Schuylkill, and from a lake in FDR Park(2004-2012, Logue 2012); Gloucester County/NJ/Big Timber Creek, below Blackwood Lake Dam (6/14/2011, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2012); near Glasgow/DE/Becks Pond, Christina River (Montgomery 8/20/2011, adults and fry in nontidal pond); at Rt. 141 crossing [Wilmington Manor]/DE/Nonesuch Creek (8/24/2011, USGS Nonindigenous Aquatic Species Program 2012)

Economic ImpactFisheries

The Northern Snakehead is popular with sport fishermen.  Fishermen are required to kill them when caught (Delaware Department of Natural Resources and Recreation 2023,  https://fishspecies.dnrec.delaware.gov/FishSpecies.aspx?habitat=1&species=43); The New Jersey Fish and  Wildlife website lists only 4 catches between 2014 and 2018 ( https://www.nj.gov/dep/fgw/pdf/delriver/artdel_sp_no_snakehead.pdfi).  Fishermen are also required to kill them in Pennsylvaniahttps://www.fishandboat.com/Fishing/All-About-Fish/Catch-PA-Fish/Pages/Snakehead.aspx )
