Geographic Extent

Oakland/CA/(Lake Merritt) San Francisco Bay (Bousfield and Carlton 1967;Carlton 1979; Cohen and Carlton 1995; 1965, USNM 1105499, U.S. National Museum of Natural History 2015). [Transorchestia enigmatica is known only from this site. This species probably originated from the coasts of Chile and/or New Zealand but nas not yet been found there (Carlton 1979; Cohen and Carlton 1995)]
