Invasion Description

1st Record: OR-WA/Columbia River estuary (1979, Sytsma et al. 2004)

Geographic Extent

"This cyclopoid copepod was first collected in San Francisco Bay estuary in 1979, from the San Joaquin River. It is a fresh water species native to the Yangtze River. It was also collected from the Columbia River from 1979 to 1980 during the CREDDP surveys. This species was not found in the present survey." It has apparently been replaced by L. tetraspina(Sytsma et al. 2004)
