1st Record: Central Valley/CA/San Joaquin River (1944, Dill and Cordone 1997). Records of this catfish's in the Sacaramento-San Joaquin basin presence may be based on misidentifications (Dill and Cordone 1997; Leidy 2007).

Geographic Extent

CA/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (1944, Cohen and Carlton 1995; Dill and Cordone 1997, apparently rare, not showing up in recent Delta surveys)
